About The Company

KENDRA ISOBEL SAMSON received her formal training as a national government scholar at the Philippine High School for the Arts and the Cultural Center of the Philippines Dance School. She moved to New York City to attend The Juilliard School on a full scholarship and received her BFA in Dance in 2009. While in school, she participated in summer programs Springboard Danse Montreal and San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, and performed work by choreographers Harumi Terayama, Esmé Boyce, Ohad Naharin, Lar Lubovitch, Larry Keigwin, Anthony Tudor, Nicolo Fonte, Susan Marshall, Matthew Neenan and Janis Brenner.

 

Kendra has performed at Symphony Space, Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, Dixon Place, Triskelion Arts, Baryshnikov Arts Center, Dance Theatre Workshop, and City Center. Her dance credits include working with companies/choreographers Flexicurve Dance, Sydney Schiff Dance Project, Betheny Merola, Lane Gifford and Co., Esme Boyce Dance, Joanna Mendl Shaw, Leonides Arpon, and Sidra Bell. She is currently performing with Barkin/Selissen Project and has been with Janis Brenner & Dancers since 2010.

 

Kendra also founded and runs Project Philippines, an arts outreach program that brings accessible performing arts workshops to communities in Norther Samar, Laguna and Manila. www.kendrasamson.com
